North Mids X/C round 3 Race Report

The high winds brought a different challenge to the athletes for this 3rd race in the series. but as usual they faced up to the challenge and excelled.

The u11s extended the lead at the top with Pb’s by most athletes. Lachlan finch managed to extend his unbeaten run with another impressive win. Elsie Robinson ran a great race to battle into 4th position and retain 1st position in the girl’s standings. Samuel Wright had a great performance to gain a top 10 position 10th, Dougie Lowe was close on his heels finishing 12th. Poppy Adkin the youngster in the group ran a superb race really pushing the boys to finish 14th .Danny Ray Murdey really pushed himself to an impressive position. 26th Scarlett Lewin had a strong race to finish in 30th position. James Tansey showed remarkable spirit to finish 35th despite losing his shoe on the start line. Flo Hagger 39th .Eve Rowley 45th and Amber Wrobelowski 47th completed what was a great team effort with top 50 positions. This leaves the U11s team in a strong position for the final race at Wollaton Park in January.

Ysa Murdey ran well with a strong finish in 25th position in the u13 girl’s race smashing her previous results.

Mikela Gilmore ran a fabulous race to finish 29th in the senior ladies race and coming in 4th in the U20’s age category.
