National X/C Relays, Berry Hill + British Cross Challenge, Race Reports


National X/C Relays

There were some fantastic results from the National Cross Country Relays at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield on Saturday 31st October.

Izzy McDaid had a spectacular race to run the fastest leg in the U15 girls age group on the final leg of the ‘B’ Team in a time of 6:51.10 and moving her team from 76th place to 43rd place.

Jordan Waine (U17 women) finished her ‘A’ leg in 8th place in 8:53.75 for the 10th fastest leg on the day.

British Cross Challenge

Also last weekend three athletes competed at the British Cross Challenge League series which was at Tear Drop Lake, Milton Keynes.

Jordan Waine (U17 women) showed she is coming back to her best with her performance in the mixed U17 and Junior women’s race. Overall she finished in 20th place in 19:18 but she was 8th in her respective age group. Ethan Faulkner (U15b) came 111th in 21:17 and Aaron Mason (U13b) was 88th in 11:53
