English National X/C Championships 2017 Woolaton Park

imagesMud was the order of the day at the English National Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. The thick, heavy mud resulted in Naomi Clarke-Myers losing her spikes and finishing the race in her socks! She was not the only casualty on the day but despite these difficult conditions, there were some fabulous results.

Despite being a bottom aged athlete, Elsie ‘The Rocket’ Robinson had a stunning run to finish the U13 race in 10th place. Elsie’s strength and determination were faultless throughout the race and she concluded the race with a strong sprint into the finish.

Lachlan Finch had a great race in the u13 boys age group resulting in a creditable 25th place and Jordan Waine was 31st in the U17 women age group.
